Shah Rukh Khan Expresses Fondness for Virat Kohli, His "Son-in-Law"

In a recent "Ask SRK" session, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan shared his affection for cricketer Virat Kohli, who happens to be married to Shah Rukh's co-star from several films, Anushka Sharma. During the session, when a user inquired about his thoughts on Virat Kohli, Shah Rukh responded with warmth, saying, “I love @imVkohli; he is like my own, and I pray always for his well-being… bhai damaad jaisa hai humaara (Bro is like our son-in-law)!!!”

The term "son-in-law" is endearing, as Virat is married to Anushka Sharma. Anushka's acting journey started alongside Shah Rukh in Aditya Chopra's 2008 romantic comedy "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi." Their on-screen chemistry continued in Yash Chopra's 2012 romantic film "Jab Tak Hai Jaan," Imtiaz Ali's 2017 rom-com "Jab Harry Met Sejal," and Aanand L Rai's 2018 rom-com "Zero." The latter two films were produced by Shah Rukh's production company, Red Chillies Entertainment.

Shah Rukh initiated the Ask SRK session while on a break during the shoot for his upcoming film, "Dunki." He shared his excitement about the film, stating that it's a beautiful piece of work. When asked if "Dunki" would feature action scenes like his previous films "Pathaan" and "Jawan," Shah Rukh revealed that it is primarily a funny and emotional film, reflecting the director Rajkumar Hirani's unique style. He humorously mentioned that he did add a touch of action, but it's uncertain whether it will make the final cut, as Rajkumar Hirani is also the film's editor.

Fans inquired about the release date of "Dunki" and its potential clash with Prashanth Neel's action film "Salaar," starring Prabhas, scheduled for Christmas. Shah Rukh confirmed that "Dunki" is indeed fixed for that date and playfully suggested he might need to engrave the date on his forehead.

The session concluded when Rajkumar Hirani playfully urged Shah Rukh to leave the bathroom, hinting at preparing the trailer for "Dunki." Shah Rukh responded humorously and signed off, promising to see fans in theaters soon.

"Dunki," featuring Taapsee Pannu alongside Shah Rukh Khan, boasts a screenplay co-written by Rajkumar Hirani, Abhijat Joshi, and Kanika Dhillon.
