Off-White Commemorates 10th Anniversary with Unique Monster High Collaboration

In a fitting tribute to its decade-long presence in the fashion world and the approaching Halloween season, Off-White has joined forces with Mattel to introduce a distinctive Monster High capsule collection called "Memorabilia."

This extraordinary collaboration showcases four iconic Monster High dolls decked out in edgy Off-White attire. The partnership not only underscores Off-White's historical penchant for challenging fashion conventions but also underscores Monster High's values of individuality and embracing diversity.

The genesis of this extraordinary partnership took shape in late 2020 and early 2021, when Virgil Abloh's creative vision collided with the distinctive characters of Monster High. Kim Culmone, Mattel's Senior Vice President Head of Doll Design, remarked, "As Mattel Creations' most avant-garde endeavor in 24 years, this collaboration symbolizes the celebration of creativity, non-conformity, and the limitless possibilities that emerge when the realms of fashion, art, and toy culture converge."

In the captivating campaign imagery, the diminutive plastic dolls don Off-White's unique designs, featuring one-shoulder body-con dresses emblazoned with the word "dress," striking black-and-white houndstooth sheer skirt sets, and black heels with a transparent outer layer.

Off-White's signature wordplay, which frequently involves inscribing phrases in quotation marks directly onto garments, is evident throughout the collection. The Monster High dolls accessorize with miniaturized versions of Off-White's iconic black Burrow shoulder bag, replete with intricate details such as circular cutouts and a red utilitarian-themed zip-tie.

Monster High, introduced by Mattel in 2010, gave birth to an array of legendary dolls, including Clawdeen Wolf, Lagoona Blue, Cleo de Nile, and Draculaura. Off-White, known for its collaborations with industry giants such as Nike, Ikea, Warby Parker, and the Chicago Bulls, now adds Mattel's Monster High to its illustrious list of creative partnerships.
