Arnold Schwarzenegger, widely known for his high-octane movie roles, political career, and bodybuilding prowess, has transitioned into a quieter, more pet-focused life at the age of 76. While he still promotes fitness and shares his life stories, a significant part of his daily routine now involves spending time with his beloved pets. His extended family includes a delightful ensemble of animals, featuring a miniature donkey, a pony, several dogs, and even a pig.

The online world has fallen in love with Arnie's miniature donkey, Lulu, and miniature horse, Whiskey, who enjoy a substantial fan following. Fans often clamor for Arnie to post videos featuring these charming animals. However, the surprising addition to his animal family came courtesy of his girlfriend.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's mornings kick off with a wholesome ritual of feeding oatmeal cookies to his furry companions. In a rather unconventional twist, Lulu and Whiskey even make appearances in his office. Their endearing presence has sparked such fascination that there's even talk of a movie featuring this dynamic duo. Interestingly, the donkey wasn't initially on Schwarzenegger's wishlist. In a recent interview with 92nd Street Y, he candidly admitted, "I never ever planned on having a donkey."

It was Heather Milligan, Arnie's girlfriend of a decade, who introduced the donkey into their lives, with a heartwarming motive in mind. Heather, who has a background in horsemanship, felt that Whiskey, the miniature pony, could use some companionship. In Arnie's own words, "She grew up with horses, and she said, you know, 'I think she needs a companion.'" Heather's thoughtful gesture brought Lulu into Schwarzenegger's home, and it didn't take long for Whiskey to warm up to the new addition.

Reflecting on that moment, Arnie recalled, "One day I came home, and there was this miniature donkey, and together with Whiskey, with the miniature pony." The bond between Whiskey and Lulu has grown strong since their first meeting, and it's a sight that brings joy to Arnold Schwarzenegger. "I was really happy about the whole thing," he affirmed during the interview. But why did Arnie decide to adopt a miniature horse in the first place?

In a previous revelation, Arnold Schwarzenegger explained how his involvement with Whiskey began. It was initially his firstborn, Katherine Schwarzenegger, who had a passion for horseback riding and bought Whiskey for herself. "Whiskey is Katherine's miniature horse, the miniature pony… When she had this animal, and it was everything to her," Arnie shared during an appearance on the Literally! With Rob Lowe show.

However, as Katherine started dating Hollywood actor Chris Pratt, her interests shifted, and her focus turned away from her equine friend. "Then all of a sudden, she started dating, and then all of a sudden, guys were in, and the horses were out," Schwarzenegger humorously lamented. To ensure Whiskey received the love and care he deserved, Arnie built a stable at his own home and welcomed Whiskey into his extended animal family.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's love for these animals is evident in the way he cares for them. At 76, he's living his best life alongside his second family of beloved pets. His genuine affection for his animal companions is an inspiration, and he encourages his fans to consider the joys of pet ownership.
