Tom Sandoval's Alleged Masked Singer Show Flops: Fan Reactions

Not everyone holds a favorable opinion of Tom Sandoval, despite what his recent podcast title might suggest. Many fans of Vanderpump Rules believe they've uncovered Tom's secret identity as the Diver on The Masked Singer. The controversial reality TV personality, faced with the typical challenge of managing his reputation, ventured into the realm of singing on the popular Fox show. However, just like his real-life endeavors, Tom struggled to impress the audience even while concealed behind an elaborate costume.

The clues provided during the Diver's promotional segments strongly hinted at Tom's true identity. Holding a newspaper that read "Extra! Extra!" seemed like a nod to his band, "Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras." Additionally, the compass with the arrow pointing at "MW" could easily stand for "Mid-West," Tom's place of origin in St. Louis. The intricate gold brass antique deep-sea scuba diver helmet and bodysuit might be linked to his participation in Fox's "Special Forces: World's Toughest Test."

In a clever play on words, the Diver remarked in the promo, "Usually, I'm pretty pumped, but lately, I've been lost in the abyss," a possible reference to his involvement in the show "Vanderpump Rules."

Further clues included the line, "Usually, you can find me under the sea, but for this clue, you'll have to look to the sky," accompanied by an image of a red cardinal, a hint at Tom's hometown. The reference to a "Diver" and a "dive bar" also made sense, given that Tom owns two drinking establishments. However, it appears that fans aren't thrilled to see him on the show if they didn't buy tickets to his concert.

It became increasingly evident that Tom was the Diver when he took the stage for his first performance, dancing and revealing his signature body rolls. One fan even compared Tom's dance moves from "Vanderpump Rules" to those on "The Masked Singer," confirming their suspicions.

Tom's distinct voice couldn't be hidden, even with the help of the Masked Singer's auto-tuning techniques. Judges struggled to feign enthusiasm as the Diver hit some rather off-key high notes. Viewers on Reddit weren't any kinder, with one person humorously quipping, "My 2-year-old niece is a better singer than him."

As for Tom's claims of being a victim, many fans weren't buying it. His package on the show had him portraying himself as the most hated creature in the ocean, attributing the backlash to scorned women unfairly targeting him for the misdeeds of other men. Some fans, however, weren't having it, expressing their disdain for Tom and his personality in colorful language.

In summary, Tom Sandoval's appearance on The Masked Singer as the Diver hasn't gone unnoticed by eagle-eyed fans, and his unique characteristics, both in terms of dance and voice, made it hard for him to remain incognito. Whether he can redeem himself in the eyes of his critics remains to be seen.
