In a significant announcement today, Blossoms has revealed plans for their most substantial headlining show to date. The renowned five-piece band hailing from Stockport will grace their hometown with a spectacular homecoming concert at Wythenshawe Park during the August bank holiday weekend next year.

Scheduled for Sunday, August 25, this all-day outdoor concert is poised to follow the band's hugely successful Castlefield Bowl performance in July, part of the Sounds of the City concert series. The 'Charlemagne' hitmakers will follow in the footsteps of music legend Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, who once graced Wythenshawe Park with their first gig in August.

If you're eager to secure your spot at this remarkable event, fans who pre-order Blossoms' upcoming release will gain exclusive access to pre-sale tickets, available starting Thursday, November 9, at 10 a.m. For everyone else, general sale tickets will be up for grabs on Friday, November 10, at 10 a.m., exclusively through Ticketmaster.

Tom Ogden, the lead singer of Blossoms, shared his excitement, saying, "Headlining our biggest show to date at Wythenshawe Park will be the pinnacle of our career. It takes me back to when Joe and I watched Oasis and The Stone Roses at Heaton Park during our teenage years and how those concerts influenced our lives. This grand Manchester summer event is a tribute to the people who inspired us to be in a band, influenced our style, and changed our lives forever. To borrow a phrase, 'Boys, I've got a feeling we're not on Oldham Street anymore!'"

The event promises a fantastic lineup with support from Inhaler and Dublin-based Shed Seven. Following a sold-out gig at Manchester's Victoria Warehouse in May, the Dublin quartet led by Elijah Hewson returns to Manchester for another outstanding live performance. Shed Seven will also mark a significant comeback as they celebrate the 30th anniversary of their incredible catalog. Joining Blossoms at Wythenshawe Park are other fantastic acts, including The K's, Seb Lowe, and the band TTRRUUCES, featuring Findlay, who will kick off the event.

Blossoms, originally formed in Stockport by school friends Tom Ogden, Joe Donovan, Charlie Salt, Joshua Dewhurst, and Miles Kellock, have achieved immense success throughout their career. Their debut album "Blossoms" in 2016 topped the charts for two consecutive weeks and received BRIT Award and Mercury Prize nominations. Subsequent albums like "Cool Like You" (2018), "Foolish Loving Spaces" (2020), and "Ribbon About The Bomb" have all earned them No. 1 positions in the UK, solidifying their status as a top-tier band.

This exciting announcement comes on the heels of the warm reception of their latest single, 'To Do List (After The Breakup),' inspired by the widely acclaimed poetry book 'Milk And Honey' by writer and poet Rupi Kaur. The single, featuring Findlay on vocals, has been widely supported on national radio, including Radio X's Record of the Week.

For those eager to secure tickets for Blossoms at Wythenshawe Park in August 2024, pre-ordering Blossoms' upcoming release is the key to gaining early access. Pre-sale tickets will be available from Thursday, November 9, at 10 a.m., while general sale tickets will open to the public on Friday, November 10, at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Don't miss this incredible homecoming concert event!
